अमेरिकाका पाँच प्रमुख टेरोटोरीहरु रहेका छन् । पोर्तोरिको, युएस भर्जिन आइल्याण्ड, अमेरिकन सामोआ, नर्दन मारियाना आइल्याण्ड र गुआमा । यी सबै भूभागमा स्थानीय सरकारहरु छन् । उनीहरुले अमेरिकाको संघीय कानुनको पालना गर्नुपर्छ ।

There are five major U.S. territories: Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. Territories have their own local governments. They also must follow the laws of the U.S. federal government.
अमेरिकी सेनाको कमाण्डर इन चिफ को हुन्छ?

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति नै सेनाको कमाण्डर इन चिफ हुन् । अमेरिकी संविधानले जनताबाट छानिएको गैर सैनिक व्यक्ति कमाण्डर इन चिफ हुने व्यवस्था गरेको छ । अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति गैरसैनिक हुन् ।
Who is the Commander in Chief of the military?
– The President
The president is the commander in chief of the military. The president is a civilian, not a military official. The writers of the Constitution wanted the commander in chief to be a civilian who is elected by the people.
पहिलो अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति को हुन् ?

जर्ज वासिंटन अमेरिकाको पहिलो राष्ट्रपति हुन् । उनी सन् १७८९ देखि सन् १७९७ सम्म अमेरिकाको राष्ट्रपति रहे । राष्ट्रपति हुनु अगाडि उनी अमेरिकी सेनामा जनरल थिए । उनले ४ बर्षे २ कार्यकालपछि राष्ट्रपति नहुने प्रथा कायम गरे । अहिले पनि यो उदाहरण नै पछ्याइदै आएको छ । सन् १९५१ मा संविधानमा २१ औं संविधानले २ कार्यकाल भन्दा धेरै राष्ट्रपति हुन नपाउने व्यवस्था गरेको हो ।
Who was the first President?
– George Washington
George Washington was the first president of the United States. He was president from 1789 to 1797. Before he became president, George Washington was the general of the American army. George Washington decided to stop being president after two 4-year terms. Today, we follow his example. The Twenty-second Amendment, added to the Constitution in 1951, limits presidents to two 4-year terms. No one can be president for more than two 4-year terms.
