अमेरिकी संसदमा दुई सदनहरु रहेका छन्, सिनेट र हाउस अफ रिप्रिजेन्टेटिभ्स । सिनेटमा १ सय सदस्यहरु रहन्छन् भने हाउस अफ रिप्रिजेन्टेटिभ्समा ४३५ जना भोटिङ मेम्बरहरु रहन्छन् । सिनेटका सदस्यहरु ६ बर्षका लागि निर्वाचित हुन्छन् भने हाउस अफ रिप्रिजेन्टेटिभ्सका सदस्यहरु २ बर्षका लागि निर्वाचित हुन्छन् ।

1.What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?

Ans : the Senate and House of Representatives

The two parts of the United States Congress are the Senate and the House of Representatives. Citizens from all over the United States are elected to the Senate and the House of Representatives. There are 100 members in the Senate. Every state elects two senators. Senators represent all the people in their state. They are elected for 6-year terms. The House of Representatives has 435 voting members. States with more people have more representatives in the House of Representatives. Representatives represent a district, or part, of each state. They are elected for 2-year terms.

हाउसका स्पीकर अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधिसभाका नेता हुन् । यदि राष्ट्रपति र उपराष्ट्रपति दुबैले काम गर्न नसक्ने अवस्था आएमा हाउसका स्पीकर नै अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति हुन्छन् । तर अमेरिकी इतिहासमा अहिलेसम्म यो अवस्था भने आएको छैन ।
